‘… and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’ MATTHEW 28:20
Lord Jesus, thank you that you are with me always. May I become more conscious of your presence.
Think how different our lives would be if we were constantly aware of God’s presence with us – his loving, welcoming presence. If we allowed his life to flow into and through us with each breath, we would become a channel of blessing into our workplaces, families, and communities.
Such a life would itself be prayer, for prayer is not simply the words we speak to God but an opening of our self to him. When Paul writes ‘pray continually’, he is not viewing prayer as just something we ‘do’, but as a way of living our lives.
