Variety: Deuteronomy 8v17-18

‘You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.” But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.’  DEUTERONOMY 8:17-18 

Give Thanks in All Circumstances
Lord, I thank you for all your provision and the work you give me to do. Help me always to remember that you are the source of everything I have.

Give us this day our daily bread. Each day we are utterly dependent on God’s provision. However, our credit cards, insurance policies, fridges, and freezers (helpful though they may be) can numb us to the reality of our daily dependence on God – and so we forget to be thankful for all his gifts.
