Isaiah 48v20-22

Heavenly Father
give us grace to open our hearts to you today so that we may live in peace

²⁰ Leave Babylon!  [The place where Israel went into exile]
    Flee from the Chaldeans!  [The new power who will return Israel to their own land]
With a voice of singing announce this,
    tell it even to the end of the earth:
    say, “Yahweh has redeemed his servant Jacob!”
²¹ They didn’t thirst when he led them through the deserts.  [Remembering back to when Israel left Egypt to go to their own land]
    He caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them.
    He also split the rock and the waters gushed out.

²² “There is no peace”, says Yahweh, “for the wicked.” [The Wicked being not only the Godless Babylonians but also God’s people, whether Jewish or Christian, who turn away from him]
