General Election 2017

The Joint Public Issues Team of the Methodist, Baptist, United Reformed Churches and Church of Scotland produced 4 questions for church members to ask parliamentary candidates.  Cherry Hinton Baptist Church sent these questions to all candidates in South East Cambridgeshire (SEC) and Cambridge (City) constituencies, asking them answer each question in no more than 100 words.

Trade: How should the UK’s bilateral trading agreements take into account human rights and climate change?

Brexit: What are they key principles which should underpin the UK’s negotiations with the European Union, regarding our future relationship?

Refugees: What role do you think that the UK should play in responding to the global refugee crisis?

Poverty: What priority do you think an incoming Government should give to reducing poverty?
