Sermon on a Tie

The following biblical teaching is contained on some ties designed and worn by Nic Boyns, but made by his mother, Susan Boyns.

The First three come from the Gospels:

  1. Jesus’ Prayer: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be your name, Your Kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven, Give us today our daily Bread, Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us, Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil
  2. Who Jesus is, from John’s Gospel: The Way, the Gate, the Vine, the Truth, the Light of the world, the Bread of life, the good Shepherd, the Resurrection (and the Life)
  3. The Beatitudes from Matthew’s Gospel: Blessed are: the poor in spirt,  those who mourn, the meek, those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, the merciful, the pure in heart, the peace makers and those who are persecuted.
