Introduction to Christianity Courses

got questions about life - Alpha (logo)Alpha is a course for those wishing to look at the basics of Christianity, with a view to making up their own mind on the claims of Jesus.  Each evening comprises a meal, a video and a discussion
All are welcome to come and explore Christian faith, over a meal with a video and an informal discussion.
The course runs once or twice a year, either in the afternoon or evening.  In 2018 it is running 1st March to 17th May Noon-2:15pm in the Family Centre.
The topics covered are:

Who is Jesus?
Why did Jesus die?
How can I have faith?
What does the Holy Spirit do?
Why and how do I pray?
Why and how should I read the bible?
How does God guide us?
How can I resist evil?
How can I make the most of life?

In previous years we have run Meal with Meaning in the Spring and Summer half term holidays.  This is a chance to eat and talk about and basic Christianity.  The conversation is driven by the questions that those present ask.

In previous years we have used The World We All Want“The World We All Want” which is a 7 week introduction to Christianity course

1: God promises the world we all want
2: Jesus shows us  God’s new world
3: We have spoiled God’s good world
4: God promises a new world
5: We cannot create God’s new world
6: We can enjoy God’s new world because of Jesus
7: Christians are God’s people waiting for God’s new world
